First Look At Power Rangers New Alpha 5
Yesterday Rita Repulsa was free in new images but today we meet another Power Rangers old favourite Alpha 5 and he has a new look.
We know and many longtime fans of Mighty Morphan Power Rangers TV Show fans know the upcoming movie version is re-imaging. Getting, grittier more modern and stylish but not forgetting those nostalgic nods to the original Rangers. But when you check out the new Concept Art/images sent to us from those kind folks at Lionsgate Films, you might be wondering where did Alpha 5 go?
The design team behind Power Rangers movie have certainly gone full out to modernise the movie version. For Zordon’s (Bryan Cranston) robotic loyal pal it seems the concept artists have taken to heart “how far can we go?” littery! Comparing the new images to the top image of the original Alpha 5 it seems he’s gotten more organic looking more like he’s auditioning to be a member of Daft Punk. Or even an Alien whose got his head stuck in his flying saucer.
It’s no surprise that fans of the franchise shared their thoughts on social media and it wasn’t always “ay-yi-yi-yi!”. There’s no word if Alpha 5 will have a neurotic sense of humour but when you have the likes of Bill Hader voicing the character whose more organic, we think he will deliver some laughs.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove and the world is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.
Saban’s Power Rangers doesn’t have an exact UK&Irish release date, however, 24th March 2017 is one date that could be a possibility.
