First Look At Wicked Little Letters Starring Olivia Colman

Jessie Buckley and Olivia Colman star in Wicked Little Letters coming to UK 2024

Today Toronto International Film Festival announced it’s line-up for the festival’s 48th edition. One of the film’s making it’s world premiere will be Thea Sharrock’s (Me Before You) Wicked Little Letters starring Olivia Colman and Jesse Buckley.

Studiocanal are set to release the film in UK Cinemas in early 2024, today they give us a first look image for the film. Buckley and Colman are neighbours with little in common, that changes when they both receive scandalous letters. Containing obscene Language with suspicion leaning towards one of the woman. However she has too much to throw away and with the Police now involved, the town’s women join together to find the real culprit

Official synopsis:
Fiery Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley) has little in common with the pious Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) aside from them being neighbours in the seaside town of Littlehampton in the 1920’s. But one day, Edith and others in the town start receiving scandalous letters written with foul language as eccentric as it is obscene, and the finger of suspicion immediately falls on Rose. As Rose stands to lose her freedom and the custody of her daughter, and outrageous letters continue to blight the town, police officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) begins to suspect something is amiss. Together with a group of resourceful women, Gladys endeavours to solve the mystery, liberate Rose, and catch the real culprit…

The film has a supporting cast of Anjana Vasan, Timothy Spall, Joanna Scanlan, Hugh Skinner , Malachi Kirby, Gemma Jones, Lolly Adefope, Eileen Atkins, and Alisha Weir.

Wicked Little Letters will make it’s world premiere at 48th Toronto Film Festival on 9th September. Studiocanal will release the film in the UK and Irish cinemas from 23rd February 2024.
