First Trailer For Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars Adaptation

The end of the world was just the beginning as 20th Century Studios unveils the first trailer for Sir Ridley Scott‘s The Dog Stars.

Yesterday saw the finale of CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where the trailer was showcased. The film is based on Peter Heller’s captivating bestseller of the same name. According to the book plot, this post-apocalyptic thriller is all about a pilot living who tracks a mysterious transmission. We do enjoy a good post-apocalyptic film, and this one looks intense with a focus on human persistence.

This one stars Jacob Elordi alongside Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney.

Synopsis | “The film tells the story of Hig, a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley, has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world until a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.”

The Dog Stars will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas on  28th August.
