First Look At Dominic Cooper In Simon West’s Stratton

There’s a new kid on the block when it comes to action heroes Simon West is hoping so, move over Bourne, Reacher as Stratton is coming check out first image!

GFM Films have today released a first look image from their action packed thriller Stratton. Filming commenced four weeks ago, with director Simon West (Con Air, The Expendables 2) at the helm. The film is based on the series of books by ex-SBS agent Duncan Falconer.

Dominic Cooper (Fleming, Mama Mia!) has been cast in the lead role of Stratton, a determined and dedicated SBS operative working alongside MI6 to prevent an international terrorist attack in London.

Dominic will star alongside a young and exciting ensemble cast including Gemma Chan (Humans, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), Austin Stowell (Whiplash, Bridge of Spies), Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf television series) and Tom Felton (Harry Potter franchise). Thomas Kretschmann (Downfall, Valkyrie), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Jake Fairbrother (RSC) and tour de force Sir Derek Jacobi, complete the line-up.

Working with local Italian production service company Eagle Pictures, filming started in Brindisi on the 15th July and moved on to Rome before starting in London on the 7th August. Various spectacular locations are being used in London and its surrounding area with the film set to wrap shooting in mid September.

Stratton was a role originally set up for Henry Cavill who left the role due to “creative differences.” All will be revealed sometime 2016 if it was a right move for Cavill and that Cooper is the correct man to go all out commando on the jabronis that cross his path.
