Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

The more footage I see of this movie the better this movie gets, and what’s more exciting its only 2 weeks away before it arrives at a cinema near you on September 16th that movie is Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Thomas Alfredson’s (Let The Right One In) cold war thriller based on the classic John Le Carre  novel which was a BBC Drama in late 1070’s/early 1908’s  which saw Alec Guinness play George Smiley an retired MI6 brought back into the ‘circus’ (Nickname to Britain intelligence agency, MI6) to smoke out the KGB spy who infiltrated MI6, in the new version its Gary Oldman. Fantastic cast for a fantastic looking film we’re looking forward to and fortunate we’ll be watching a preview this Tuesday and will bring you our views very shortly, however if your lucky to be in Venice Italy the movie is due to make its world premier!

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy stars Gary Oldman, Kathy Burke, Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Ciarán Hinds, John Hurt, Toby Jones, Konstantin Khabensky, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Roger Lloyd Pack, and Mark Strong.  Optimum Releasing have released the first clip via Empire which shows Control(John Hurt) instructs agent Jim Prideaux (Mark Strong) in the hunt for the mole, assigning code-names to each of the suspects in the hunt.

Set in the 1970s, TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY finds George Smiley (Gary Oldman), a recently retired MI6 agent, doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service. However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of the Circus, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage. Tasked with investigating which of his trusted former colleagues has chosen to betray him and their country, Smiley narrows his search to four suspects – all experienced, urbane, successful agents – but past histories, rivalries and friendships make it far from easy to pinpoint the man who is eating away at the heart of the British establishment.
