Watch Ewan McGregor in new ‘Son of a Gun’ clips

Two new clips for Australian crime drama Son of a Gun have been released, and we have them for your viewing pleasure below. The debut feature film of Julius Avery, a winner of the Cannes Jury Prize for his short film Jerrycan, Son of a Gun played at the BFI London Film Festival a few months ago and received positive reviews.

The film focuses on 19-year-old JR (Brenton Thwaites), who in exchange for protection in prison, he promises the smart and charismatic Brendan Lynch (Ewan McGregor) that once he is released, he will help Brendan break out. However, he has more plans for JR, and the young criminal soon finds himself being sucked into Brendan’s enticing criminal world. 

The following clips showcase how charismatic but dangerous Brendan is. In the first, we see him convincing the young JR to help him escape, and in the second we see another side to Brendan, with JR facing his wrath for breaking the rules.
