EVIL DEAD Remake GET There Male Lead…Shiloh Fernandez
Re boots are dime a dozen these days, some merit another chance, others passable but at times you ask yourselves why remake? One of the films which is about to get the rebooted treatment is Sam Raimi’s classic EVIL DEAD. Like many recent reboots that have past or coming our way soon Evil Dead has had its fair share of problems luckily its only been who will the leading lady be, which we know now wont be Lilly Collins due to scheduling problems. There’s still no word yet who will step into those shoes but what we do know is Bruce Campbell wont be the leading man but who will step into the Campbell miesters blue suede shoes?
Step forwar SHILOH FERNANDEZ according to Variety though I’m sure many of you will be asking ‘Shiloh who?’ Anyone brave enough to watch last year’s Little Red Riding Hood (Amanda Seyfried) you will recognise him but the burning question is, Will he actually be stepping into Bruce Campbell’s shoes?
One thing we do know with Red Reding Hood behind him Shiloh Fernandez not scared to put a foot in a forest as Evil Dead tells the story of five youngsters who go down to the woods and lets just say they get a big demonic surprise! The group stay in a secluded cabin, one of the girls is recovering from a drug rehab programme needs time out. The two chaps of the group Eric, David one is a mechanic whilst the other is the one responsible for unleashing the Necronomicon demonic powers the part played by Campbell and the one we think will be Fernandez’s too!
Fede Alvarez will direct with in demand Diablo Cody on writing duties, no word on the exact UK&Irish release date however USA film fans will see it April 12, 2013 which could possibly the same for all us here in blighty!
