The Bay Of Naples is shrouded in mythology including the sirens. Picturehouse Entertainment have released the Parthenope UK Trailer, does everyone want Celeste Dalla Porta?

Paolo Sorrentino‘s film is set to make it’s UK cinematic debut in May. Another film based Naples, the director’s home town mixing love and fantasy. Parthenope is a coming of age story that follows a young woman named after her home town. Born in the sea of Naples in 1950’s  searching for happiness and the men are obsessed with her beauty, she resist any advances. Is she siren or myth?

If you listened to our episode 39 of The Chronicle Film Podcast Worst films, this film made the list. Clotilde Chinnici saw it at Cannes Film Festival last year, she was no fan of it. It’s a shame as The Hand Of God, Sorrentino‘s last film we loved, your thoughts on this one?
