Euphoria Season 3 Trailer Teases A Messier, More Chaotic Return
The long-awaited return of the gang promises much drama once more.
HBO Max has released the second trailer for the long-awaited third season of Euphoria, and if there’s one thing it makes clear, it’s that the show isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Set to premiere on April 13, the new season looks set to embrace a far more chaotic energy. Where previous seasons balanced stylised storytelling with moments of stillness, this trailer leans fully into the mess: emotionally, visually and narratively. It feels less like a clean next chapter and more like everything unravelling at once.
The footage doesn’t give much away in terms of a clear direction, but that almost feels intentional. Instead, it throws you straight back into the lives of these characters, picking up on the intensity, impulsiveness and unpredictability that made the show such a cultural moment in the first place. It’s messy, heightened and, at times, overwhelming, but that’s also very much what Euphoria does best.
Zendaya returns as Rue, once again at the centre of it all, alongside familiar faces including Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow. The trailer leans heavily into the emotional volatility of these characters, reminding us just how much we’ve watched them grow, unravel and rebuild over the years.
There’s also a sense that the world of the show is expanding, with a huge slate of new cast members joining this season, including Sharon Stone, ROSALÍA and Danielle Deadwyler. But even with the scale increasing, the focus still feels rooted in the same thing. The complicated, flawed characters and the chaos they bring with them.
Visually, the series looks as striking as ever. Shot on new Kodak film stock in both 35mm and 65mm, season three brings a more cinematic scope, but it doesn’t lose the show’s signature style. If anything, the heightened visuals only amplify the sense of unpredictability running through the trailer.
More than anything, this new look at season three feels like a reminder of why people keep coming back to Euphoria. Not for neat resolutions or clear answers, but for the chaos, the emotion and the characters we’ve become attached to, even at their worst.
Euphoria returns on April 13th, with new episodes releasing weekly on HBO Max.
