Get ready to embrace the chaos this March, as Disney+ officially release the first Trailer for Moon Knight. Oscar Isaac set to star as the titular new Marvel superhero to get their (small) screen debut.
Unless you know your Marvel Universe inside out, Moon Knight will be unknown to many. He’s not a new character, making his comic book debut 47 years ago in 1975 in Werewolf By Night #32. Since the MCU kicked off we can say Marvel have had success with so called lesser known titles, The Guardians Of Galaxy best example.
Issac stars as Steven Grant, an mild mannered gift shop worker who is plagued with blackouts and memories of other lives. Only to discover he has dissociative identity disorder and sharing the body with Marc Spector and the Gods of Egypt.
Fans of the comic book will realise Steven is no longer the former U.S Marine, now British. Isaac suddenly has a very bad London Cockney accent which has divided many on social media. Grant is also no longer a millionaire playboy , just an ordinary geezer, will taxi driver Jake Lockley also appear? Will be curious to see how Disney/Marvel will handle Mental illness, this trailer wets our curiosities.
Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
We still don’t know the full cast for the series. What we do know Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy will star with Hawke to be the antagonist for the show.
Mohamed Diab(Clash) onboard as showrunner, Umbrella Academy creator Jeremy Slater is producing with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing.
Moon Knight season one (six episodes) will premiere on Disney+ from 30th March.
