Elle Fanning Lies Down In The Neon Demon New Poster
The truth is out on Nicholas Winding Refn‘s The Neon Demon after the film had it’s world premiere at last month’s Cannes Film Festival. Now the film enters it’s final month of promotion with a new poster courtesy of our friends at Icon Film Distribution.
In The Neon Demon, when aspiring model Jesse (Elle Fanning) moves to Los Angeles, her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will use any means necessary to get what she has.
Once again the poster uses the ‘Beauty Is Vicious’ slogan , the models best weapon in the dog eat dog world of modelling is there beauty. Elle Fanning lies over the the a sofa with a throat slit, covered in blood, does it these models will give their blood to be uniquely beautiful? The posters and the trailers are full of symbolic iconography, with the triangle can be seen in this quad poster does it suggest there is something dark, deeper working in the background? One description of the film we heard was “the film is like an Lynchian nightmare” in that one description has sold us one seeing this film next month!As ever the Danish filmmaker’s imagery is striking and he’s not scared to wear his film inspirations on his sleeve with everything from French New Wave, Tobe Hooper, Marion Bava up to David Lynch.
Not forgetting the film possess a Cliff Martinez film score whose music has been an vital important part of Nicholas Winding Refn’s films.
