Tomorrow in UK, Ireland and USA Edge of Darkness hits our big screens. The movie is based on the BAFTA winning BBC mini series which came out a way back in 1980’s and was directed by Martin Campbell (Casin Royale) who has happened to direct this new big screen version.

The movie is about an Homicide detective who watches his daughter been gunned down on his own doorstep. When he starts to look into why his daughter was murdered he discovers her own secret life as well alot of dark secrets, cover up and goverment collusionsattracting the attention of the detective in charge of “cleaning up” the evidence.

The movies sees the return of Mel Gibson who plays the detective Craven, his first role back in front of the camera the signing detective in 2003. One question people may ask is the film any good? I hope so especially it been based on a Award winning BBC Drama. This time last year Russell Crowe also played in another BBC drama remake State Of Play which was very good and will Edge Of Darkness be as consistent as State of Play?The movie does have a very good cast which includes Ray Winstone, Bojana Novakovic, Shawn Roberts and Danny Huston.
