East Meets West Batman In Batman Ninja Featurette

What if The Dark Knight was a Samurai warrior? Later this month that question will be answered as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment release Batman Ninja.

If you’re a little bit disillusioned by the state of DC Live action, the animation side of the universe is a lot more established.

For this one, we find Bruce Wayne transported back Feudal Japan when the Samurai warrior ruled the land. The time machine first transports Gotham’s worst, The Rogues Gallery ran by The Joker.

With the popularity of Japanese Animation, better known as Anime around the world, we’re surprised why there hasn’t been more anime on Western characters. Warner Bros has sent us a brand new Featurette called ‘East Meets West Batman‘. In the promo producer Eric S. Garcia chats about the film, a film sees Batman through the eyes of Japan and a character that fits perfectly into Anime.

Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan – along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies – including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family – to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.
