Monster Trucks

The Apocalypse was last month 2017 is going to be Carmageddon as Nickelodeon Movies’ upcoming live-action flick Monster Trucks arrives in UK Cinemas. Today we get the films first UK trailer as a young man looking for escape from life might come thanks to an E.T. But one that revs up to go all out Fast&Furious!

It’s been stuck in distribution/release hell for nearly 2 years finally with the first promo now here things look a little on the strange side.

In Monster Trucks, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior is looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, he builds a Monster Truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site displaces a strange and subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of town and a most unlikely friend.

Melding cutting edge visual effects and state-of-the-art CGI, Monster Trucks is an action filled adventure for the whole family that will keep you on the edge of your seat and ultimately touch your heart.

We hadn’t heard much about what this film is all about apart from seeing the film’s name in industry film calendars constantly release date been changed. It’s not unusual for films to see there release date delayed (Snowpiercer perfect example, a film still hasn’t had a UK release). It’s not a great sign for a film delayed so long, nor does it mean Monster Trucks is going to be a bad film, if anything it’s weirdly endearing. Very unique in its premise, bit of a crazy one which should appeal to it’s intended audience possibly surprising a few parents too.

Monster Trucks will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas on 3rd February 2017. Directed by Chris Wedge (Ice Age Franchise) also starring Jane Levy, Barry Pepper, Amy Ryan, Rob Lowe,Danny Glover, Thomas Lennon, Holt McCallany.
