Dune: Part Three new trailer promises an epic finale
The wait is finally over. Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have unveiled the first trailer for Dune: Part Three, offering a breathtaking glimpse at Denis Villeneuve’s long-awaited conclusion to his epic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s iconic sci-fi saga.
Set nearly two decades after the events of Dune: Part Two, the film finds Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) firmly in control of the Imperium as its ruthless Emperor. But power comes at a price. Haunted by visions of a collapsing empire and the return of a long-lost love, Paul is drawn into a dangerous conspiracy with Chani (Zendaya) at its centre, as rebellion spreads across the galaxy and new enemies emerge from the shadows.
The first trailer hints at the immense scale fans have come to expect from Villeneuve’s Dune films, combining sweeping desert landscapes, colossal battles and intimate moments of political intrigue. It also marks the return of familiar faces including Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem and Jason Momoa, while Robert Pattinson joins the saga alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in a larger role following her brief appearance at the end of Dune: Part Two.
Villeneuve once again directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brian K. Vaughan, bringing his acclaimed trilogy to its final chapter. Behind the camera, the filmmaker reunites with many of the Oscar-winning creatives responsible for the franchise’s distinctive visual style, including composer Hans Zimmer, editor Joe Walker and production designer Patrice Vermette.
Dune: Part Three hits UK and Irish cinemas and IMAX on 18th December.
