New DARK SHADOWS Feaurette Looks At History Of Vampires
Tim Burton has had a rollercoaster ride with the critics in his past few films so he has a lot to do to get those critics back on his his, but as usual film fans will always flock to the cinemas to see his films no matter how good or bad that film maybe. When you have Johnny Depp your best buddy starring in several of your films you know a box office success is on the cards. May 11th both sides of the Atlantic DARK SHADOWS will be released the film that many are calling Burton’s homage to one of his childhood favourite tv shows (the one 3/4 of the world never heard of or seen) plus hoping the film that gets him on the critics side again. The film does look like Burton has went back to safer grounds to the dark comedy roots that help make his name one of films best directors and tonight we have a new featurette looking at all things Vampires!
The new behind the scenes featurette looks into the history of the vampire on the screen a mixture of clips of legendary vampires as well some of the cast especially Depp & Burton telling us their inspirations that help define Barnabas Collins (Depp’s character) and the film in general. The clip also is a little spoiler too as it reveals Dark Shadows has more one cameo, with Alice Cooper been joined by some familiar faces including probably the most legendary vampire of them al,who? You just have to watch this featurette to see who it is!
Dark Shadows stars also Helena Boham Carter, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, Bella Heathcote, and Jackie Earle Haley. Dark Shadows will be out May 11 2012.
