Dane Dehaan Is Confronted In A Cure For Wellness First Clip
You could say Gore Verbinski is coming home, home to a genre he thrived in and looking at the evidence so far A Cure For Wellness, it’s a movie to be excited about. The Ring remake proved he can deliver in the horror genre and this may be shrouded in mystery our curiosities have intensified. What we’ve learned this will be a Gothic themed psychological horror that looks tense, uneasy, atmospheric.
What we get is something with a unique visual style that reminds of something in the vein of Shutter Island, In The Mouth Of Madness. Universal Pictures have sent us the movie’s first clip called ‘Hall‘ which our young executive Dane Dehaan is attempting to escape the centre when he’s confronted by centre director. An ambitious young executive (Dehaan) is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness centre” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure.
A Cure For Wellness has now got a confirmed UK&Irish release date which is 1 week after on 24th February. There will also be a preview of the movie at Glasgow Film Festival, kicking off this year’s Horror Channel Frighfest [buy tickets].
The movie also stars Mia Goth, Celia Imrie and Jason Issacs.
