Watch the first UK Trailer for The First Omen!

We may only be a few days into 2024, the antichrist is coming! Create something to fear and watch the first UK Trailer for The First Omen.

After a television series and okay remake, this horror is a prequel based on the Richard Donner 1976 The Omen. A film that starred Gregory Peck and Lee Remick who played a couple who adopted a child, but no ordinary child, the Antichrist. They would call him Damien, whom who would make his adoptive parents suffer in every way leading to their deaths.

The film stars Nell Tiger Free as a young American who is about to begin her life of service to the church. She is sent to Rome encountering a dark, terrifying conspiracy that not only questions her faith. It may see her witness the birth of evil incarnate. This is directed by Arkasha Stevenson in what looks her feature debut. Her other experience in in television with Legion and a series of shorts to her name.

This trailer only runs just over the one minute mark, that does one thing…tease. It highlights the test of faith in the face of evil for humanity. It uses the reverse technique really well, will it join the likes of Halloween, The Exorcist franchises as a another forgettable attempt to restart a cult franchise?

When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.

The rest of the cast also includes Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Nicole Sorace, Bill Nighy and Ralph Ineson.

You can witness the birth of evil on 5th April when The First Omen is released in UK and Irish cinemas
