Juan Carlos Fresnadillo must love all things dark, demonic and undead and with his Bioshock drowning in development hell now his attention has now focused on his next project Intruders a horror/thriller.According to THR the movie has added Clive Owen and Inglorious Basterds Daniel Bruhl to the cast.

The movies plotline has been kept mostly underwraps by the producers but what we know is that the story will be focused on a 11 year old  girl forced  to face her childhood demons and who will play the girl we dont know yet but Clive Owen Will be playing her father. Who will play the girl plus other cast members should be annouced very soon as they hope to start filming this June in London and Madrid.

The movie is been fiananced by Universal Pictures with Spanish company Antena 3 and UPI will distribute the movie worldwide but the distrubution rights are up for grabs in USA.

This will be Fresnadillo’s first English language movie since 28 Weeks later and will probably be bigger than 28 weeks later which I did actually enjoy especially been a massive fan of the first movie 28 days later which I actually watched a pre screening months before it came out in UK (I worked part time at a cinema whilst at university). Owen hasn’t done a decent movie since Children Of Men and is falling into that limboland that Nicholas Cage has been in for a while after some good movies, you just seem to dish out crap after crap. As for Bruhl since the Basterds he hasn’t done much in English Language movies and this could propell him into the light and bring him more bigger projects.

Intruders will most likely to be out sometime in 2011.
