Camp Rock 3 Trailer Unveiled, Set For August Release

Public service announcement to anyone who grew up on Disney Channel in the early 2000’s: mark your calendars. Camp Rock 3 will be hitting our screens on Disney Channel and Disney+ later this summer. Yesterday, Disney released the trailer for the third instalment of the Camp Rock film, starring the Jonas Brothers, and it looks as rockin’ as ever before.

This third film picks up when Connect 3 loses its opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big rocker. As campers compete for the chance to serve as opening act for the trio, tensions rise, and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.

Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas return as Shane, Nate and Jason Gray, forming the band Connect 3, and Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place) reprises her role as Connie Torres, mother of Demi Lovato’s character Mitchie Torres.

Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland), Hudson Stone, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom), Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean join the cast as Camp Rock’s all-new rockers. Sherry Cola (Shrinking) has also joined the upcoming film.

The trailer also features the new single ‘One Beat Away’, which captures that unmistakable Disney Channel sound.

Demi Lovato (Camp Rock, Sonny With A Chance), who starred in the first two films, is noticeably absent from this trailer, but will executive produce alongside the Jonas brothers. Eydie Faye wrote the screenplay and Veronica Rodriguez directed it. Deadline reported that the threequel had been greenlit in September of last year.

Camp Rock was first released in June 2008 on Disney Channel, with Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam following in 2010. Original cast members include the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Meaghan Martin, Maria Canals-Barrera, and Daniel Fathers.
