When you set up home sometimes it’s the neighbourhood then the house might sway you. You assume your neighbours are normal if not rowdy but in Keeping Up With The Joneses’ there secret Agents! From Fast&Furious to Wonder Woman Gal Gadot has already shown her action side, in the first UK trailer we see her ‘seductive’ comedic side…
The American suburbs and British Suburbs are completely different worlds, Greg Mottola‘s latest comedy takes us to a middle class suburbs. A comedy with talented bunch of actors delivering a slice of The Burbs’ meets Mr&Mrs Smith
In Keeping Up With The Joneses we meet an ordinary suburban couple (Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher) finds it’s not easy keeping up with the Joneses (Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot) – their impossibly gorgeous and ultra-sophisticated new neighbours – especially when they discover that Mr. and Mrs. “Jones” are covert operatives.
Galifianakis once again delivers a goofball, but a believable lovable one. Fisher, Hamm and Gadot have enough momentum between them to bounce the laughs off each other. Let’s just say this is a comedy trope that’s been done to death, however so has a lot of genres. It’s all down to how well you can deliver a well used product and this talented bunch have enough quality between them to do that. Mottola has proven his indie comedy talents with his Superbad and Advendtureland, Paul so hopefully he has a few more tricks up his sleeve to deliver. Now am I seeing things, is that a new slime line Galifianakis? Looking good sir! So is Hamm and Gadot a good alternative to replacing Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for a Mr&Mrs Smith Sequel?
Keeping Up With Joneses is set to be released in UK &Ireland on 28th October (USA 21st October), co-starring Patton Oswalt, Matt Walsh, Kevin Dunn, and Maribeth Monroe.
