Arriving 33 years after the original film was released, Zamunda Royal Family is returning to Queens for Coming 2 America. As promised Amazon Prime have officially released the film’s first Trailer as Eddie Murphy returns to New York City not as Prince but King Akeem.

A long time coming, not even a pandemic can stop Akeem returning to where it all started for him 3 decades ago. He must find his heir, a male heir maybe there’s someone he must re-connect with in the Big Apple? with his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall), Akeem head back to Queens New York. To reconnect and meet the son he never met who in the future will be King of Zamunda himself.

With it being so long since the original film, this trailer is like a reminder those characters from the first film. There’s still 3 months to go before this film is officially release, so time for another trailer closer to release. The original film helped to showcase Murphy as a big box office draw, can this one help him regain his limelight? Whatever happens this looks a fun film…

Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.

Original cast favourites from Coming to America return including King Jaffe Joffer (James Earl Jones), Queen Lisa (Shari Headley), Cleo McDowell (John Amos), Maurice (Louie Anderson) and the motley barbershop crew. Joining this star-studded ensemble are Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, KiKi Layne, Nomzamo Mbatha and Teyana Taylor.

Coming 2 America will be exclusively released by Amazon Studios globally on Prime Video March 5th, 2021.
