Behind The Frame In Star Wars: The Force Awakens IMAX Featurette

The new IMAX Behind-the-Frame featurette takes you behind-the-scenes to see how IMAX cameras were used to put Star War: The Force Awakens fans into the centre of the action like never before.

The long road is nearly at an end and that Galaxy far far away is the matter of days away from a cinema near you, nearly time to judge if the anticipation was worth it. Technology has certainly changed alot since the original film, even when the last 3 chapters there was a difference some may argue, decreased part of the films quality (story, un-pc characters, the other reasons). Whilst many know I am no fan of 3D thanks to IMAX the cinematic experience has taken us closer to a true experience and this new promo highlights those delights.

Director J.J. Abrams commented: “That feeling of going to the movies and having a fully immersive, powerful, high-quality presentation of the film is something that is more valuable than ever and I think IMAX stands for that. When you go to see a movie in that format you know you are going to get something that is the best version of going out to the movies.”

I will be watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens in glorious 2D however my second viewing will be at my local IMAX cinema too so I can submerge my self in the adventure that will unfold in front of my eyes. I can’t comment on the frenzy that unfolded in 1977 as I was only 2 years old, I was old enough to see Return of The Jedi regarded the weakest of the original 3 films. I understand it wasn’t anywhere near first film, so my concerns that there’s so much excitement from many generations of people for chapter 7 that our expectations are so high a good movie becomes an disappointing movie. Doesn’t mean its a bad movie just people jumping onto the mythos maybe expecting more, fingers crossed it’s a ride that was worth road it’s traveled on. Excited? hell yes!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in UK& Ireland 17th December.
