Award Winning Danny Strong To Write Hunger Games:Mockingjay?

The Hunger Games Catching Fire maybe well into it’s production work has already started on getting the final 2 pieces of the The Hunger Games Games Jigsaw with Mockingjay which will be broke into 2 films. The Hunger Games:Catching Fire writing duties going to established award wining Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) with the help of Michael Arndt it looks like Lionsgate are looking towards another award winner but TV this time Danny Strong.

It was only last week Strong who maybe known to many as Jonathan from Buffy picked up gong for HBO’s Game Change but he also co-wrote Lee Daniels The Butler too which will be his first cinematic gig. Strong is also been attached to the scripting the screen version of Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol which is another high profile book but the question is, can Danny Strong dive into action as well as he’s shown political drama? Strong is certainly rising into one of the most promising writers when it comes to adaptations could Mockinjay and with the final book been regarded as the weakest of all the books with  the story now been stretched over 2 films will Danny Strong be the ideal writer to provide the conclusion the franchise deserves? Well he wont be the only new face in the crew as he’ll be joined by a new director too, no word who that maybe but in due course we’ll keep you posted.
