Are Todd Phillips And Joaquin Phoenix Working On Joker 2?

Does the sequel also have a ‘working title’?

Joker (2019)

Love it or hate it, Todd Phillip‘s Joker sequel now looks like it’s going to happen. After a year of rumours and gossips during the wee small hours via Phillips own Instagram account with an image of what looks like a script with date 18th May 2022, with Scott Silver and Phillips names on the cover as the writers.

The big thing you an notice from the  image has a working title for Joker 2Joker: Folie à Deux. What does Folie à Deux actually mean?

What it means “a delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association”. If there is any connections to the Joker, it has to be Harley Quinn who has played on screen by Margot Robbie. Kaley Cuoco has also played Quinn in the animation world, the potential may intrigue many fans. One thing we must remember  Joker is set in the 1980’s, Robbie‘s Quinn  is living in modern day Gotham City.

Could the person actually be played by Willem Dafoe? Dafoe has shown interest to play a older ‘Joker’? Whoever it may be or not be ‘madness of two’ Arthur Fleck is going to have company be it real or figment of his imagination.

The Joker you could say was a very divisive film, dividing critics and fans a like, we enjoyed it.  It’s not an easy watch, offering a dark, disturbing look at Batman‘s  archnemesis. Humanising the story, as a man struggling with mental health.  Our 4 star review calling it ” a raw, unrelenting violent flick that will disturb some. The closest you’ll get to an Shakespearean comic book tragedy on the big screen“.

Nothing is known about the plot of the film just yet and who’ll be joining Joaquin Phoenix in the cast.
