Apple TV+ Sharon Horgan’s Dark Comedy Bad Sisters Cast Revealed
Apple TV+ have unearthed the main cast for Sharon Horgan’s upcoming dark comedy series, Bad Sisters.
A delicious blend of both dark comedy and thriller, Bad Sisters follows the lives of the Garvey sisters bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another.ย In addition to Horgan, the series will star Anne-Marie Duff ( Suffragette, The Salisbury Poisonings), Eva Birthistle (Brooklyn, The Last Kingdom), Sarah Greene (Frank of Ireland, Dublin Murders) and Eve Hewson (Behind her Eyes, The Luminaries) as the Garvey sisters.
The rest of the cast will also include ย Claes Bang (Dracula, The Northman), Brian Gleeson (Frank of Ireland, Peaky Blinders), Daryl McCormack (Good Luck to you, Leo Grande, Peaky Blinders), Assaad Bouab (Call My Agent, The Pursuit of Love) and newcomer Saise Quinn (Monster).
Very little is known about this series apart from the brief description above.ย Apple did send us over an image of all the sisters (top of post, L-R Eve Hewson, Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle and Sarah Greene). Looking at that image it seems to resemble Leonardo DaVinci’s ‘The Last Supper’ painting. Duff sitting in the centre, the table with many empty /half empty glasses of wine and one of the sisters with a patch. A lot going on in this image which could be ‘Easter eggs’ย in what we can expect. That could be all explained with more images or even the trailer or synopsis.
Horgan is producing this oneย with Merman Productions, her first project to premiere from a first-look deal with Apple TV. Bad Sisters will consist of 10 episodes and will be released later in 2022.
