Watch UK Trailer for Wonka coming to cinemas December
Anything is Possible when your with Timothée Chalamet as Willy Wonka! This December that world of possibilities comes to the big screen in Wonka. Today Warner Bros Pictures release the first UK Trailer for the film that gives us a different perspective of the iconic Chocolatier.

The film has been on the cards for a very long time, cast changes and a certain ‘pandemic’ changed or delayed things. Now the Dune star plays the character that Gene Wilder first played on the big screen. That was a slightly darker, sinister version in 1971. 2005 Tim Burton film gave his version with Johnny Depp in the role created by Roald Dahl, something that was more melancholic.

For the 2023 version the film now directed by Paddington director Paul King. A film promises to look into the characters origins, before Willy became Wonka. How he created his legendary chocolate recipes and a story that will be colourful, quirky and upbeat.

The humour, the music all the things we expect in this classic story look like they’ll be there. Even how he meets the Oompa Loompas played by Hugh Grant!

Based on the extraordinary character at the centre of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.

From Paul King, writer/director of the “Paddington” films, David Heyman, producer of “Harry Potter,” “Gravity,” “Fantastic Beasts” and “Paddington,” and producers Alexandra Derbyshire (the “Paddington” films, “Jurassic World: Dominion”) and Luke Kelly (“Roald Dahl’s The Witches”), comes an intoxicating mix of magic and music, mayhem and emotion, all told with fabulous heart and humor. Starring Timothée Chalamet in the title role, this irresistibly vivid and inventive big screen spectacle will introduce audiences to a young Willy Wonka, chock-full of ideas and determined to change the world one delectable bite at a time—proving that the best things in life begin with a dream, and if you’re lucky enough to meet Willy Wonka, anything is possible.

The rest of the cast  includes Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph , Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, with Olivia Colman. The film also stars Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher, Rakhee Thakrar, Tom Davis and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

You can see Wonka in UK and Irish cinemas from 15th December.
