Anne Hathaway Joins Tom Cruise’s Days Of Thunder Sequel Cast!

Paramount Pictures have officially announced Days Of Thunder sequel is now happen. Tom Cruise maybe  returning as Cole Trickle, Anne Hathaway is now onboard, start your engines.

Cruise and Hathaway both today promoted the announcement of the long awaited sequel at the international speedway in Daytona.   38 years after the original film was released in cinemas, Days Of Thunder 2 will return on 2nd June 2028.

Despite the  mixed reviews on the original release, the film revolutionsed the modern blockbuster. All thanks to the camera techniques and how modern action Hollywood films where filmed. It earned Tony Scott‘s film the nickname of ‘Top Gun with Cars‘ ironically another Scott film starring Tom Cruise!

It’s still early days for Days Of Thunder sequel in who may or may not be joining /returning when it comes to the cast. Cruise being Trickle, will he return behind the wheel or like Top Gun: Maverick will he return as a mentor or trainer for some youngblood? Brad Pitt who is similar age to Cruise proved age is no barrier when he got behind the when in F1. What we do know is Anne Hathaway is set to play a team owner and engineer in the upcoming follow-up.

2026 has been one busy year for Hathaway with four films. The year started with The Devil Wears Prada 2, the underseen Mother Mary, then came the epic Christopher Nolan fantasy The Odyssey. More recently fighting dinosaurs in The End Of Oak Street with Verity based on the Collen Hoover novel still to come.

Cruise and Hathaway appeared together in an Instagram post with Nascar to promote the film. There was some interesting comments, many asking if the actress actually sleeps. Before any minute is film she will give birth to her third child with husband Adam Shulman whom both have 2 sons.

There is a long time to go until Days Of Thunder sequel actually arrives in cinemas . We’ll do our best to post any news, gossip and trailers that come our way. The film will be set to be filmed for IMAX as well as 4DX and other premium formats for release on 2nd June 2028.

Cruise will star and produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper. Jonathan Levine is set to direct from a script by Will Staples.
