Andrea Arnold Leads The Jurors For 61st BFI London Film Festival
We’re only days away from the 61st BFI London Film Festival and today the festival announced it’s jury for this year’s festival. American Honey director Andrea Arnold is the president of the juror taking charge of the official competition. A jury that will include Dunkirk/Inception producer Emma Thomas, actors Eric Bana and Lily Cole. Award-winning Iranian filmmaker Babak Anvari, BFI Black Star programmer Ashley Clark and Russian Filmmaker, Moscow Film School head Alexei Popogrebsky. They take charge of the Best Film Category (details below of nominees).
For First Film Feature category, Producer Melissa Parmenter will head the jury, a jury that consists of Kaleem Aftab,(hello to) Jason Isaacs, Isaac Julien and Helen McCrory (Harry Potter franchise).Short Film Feature will be presided by The Red Turtle‘s Michael Dudok De Wit with a jury including Simran Hans, Afolabi Kuti, William Oldroyd and Chloe Pirrie. Searching For A Sugar Man producer John Battsek will preside the Documentary Features alongside Paul Dosaj, Liesel Evans, James Hall, Edward Lovelace and Norma Percy.

The Awards ceremony, hosted this year by James Nesbitt and will take place on Saturday 14 October at The Banqueting House. As previously announced, this year’s BFI Fellowship will be presented to BAFTA award-winning director, producer, screenwriter and former broadcast journalist, Paul Greengrass.
The 61st BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® will run from 4 – 15 October 2017.
