Amanda Seyfried Home Is Haunted In Netflix’s Things Heard & Seen Trailer

Things Heard & Seen (2021)

Mistrust your senses as Netflix release the First official Trailer for their upcoming supernatural thriller Things Hear & Seen.

The horror comes from Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini (American Splendor, Girl Most Likely) starring Amanda Seyfried and James Norton. The film is based on Elizabeth Brundage novel All Things Cease to Appear, a house with a dark creepy history.

Set in 1980’s , Norton & Seyfried play an Manhattan couple who move from the big city to an historic hamletย  upstate in Hudson Valley. George gets a teaching job at the local college, at home Catherine attempts to build a happy homebase for them and their young daughter Franny. As the days go by Catherineย  slowly feels more and more isolated and alone becomes aware a darkness lurks within the walls of their dream home…as well as their marriage.

Automatically this does remind me a little of Amanda Seyfried’s previous horror You Should Have Left with Kevin Bacon. That’s not a bad thing, frankly this does look intriguing and the trailer does it’s best tease us. Is it the house that’s haunted or all in Catherine’s mind? Or even something paranormal out with the home?

Great to see Seyfried getting a rare lead role. Whilst not every film critically has been perfect, her choice of have been interesting, here’s hoping this one delivers.

A Manhattan couple moves to a historic hamlet in the Hudson Valley and come to discover that their marriage has a sinister darkness, one that rivals their new homeโ€™s history. Based on the acclaimed novel by Elizabeth Brundage.

The film also stars Natalia Dyer, Alex Neustaedter, Michael O’Keefe, Karen Allen, Rhea Seehorn,ย  Jack Gore, along with F. Murray Abraham, Ana Sophia Heger and James Urbaniak.

Things Heard & Seen will be released globally on Netflix from 29th April.
