By the end of its release month, Miyazaki’s game had reportedly sold a worldwide amount of 13.4 million copies, growing to 30 million by April, resulting in a status as one of the highest-selling video games of all time between Pokรฉmon Gold/Silver/Crystal by GameFreak and Nintendo and Borderlands 2 by Gearbox Software and 2k Games.
Garland’s other film credits include screenwriter for the game-changer zombie film 28 Days Later, directed by Danny Boyle, as well as its sequels 28 Weeks Later, 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. He also directed Ex_Machina, Dredd, Annihilation and Civil War.
