Reports are saying Star Wars actor Adam Driver has signedย  on to star in 65. The film project will be released Sony Pictures with the writers of A Quiet Place Scott Beckย andย Bryan Woods, directing.

Deadline broke the news last night, that duo are set to also write the script too under their newly formed Beck/Woods banner. the news story also says Sam Raimi will be producing the film Zainab Azizi and Debbie Liebling for Raimi Productions. It will also be a reunion for the trio as Beck and Woods worked on Raimi’s Quibi horror anthology series 50 States of Fright. Writing and directing an episode .

This project has been kept quite for a while now and now information released to try gather a buzz for the project. Sadly there isn’t a lot known about 65, as no plot details have been released yet.ย  All we know at this stage is the film will be a sci-fi thriller and Driver will star in the film. What role he’ll is unknown at this stage nor do we know if he will be the lead role or supporting cast role.

It’s been a formidable few years for Driver with the recent Star Wars trilogy whom he played Kylo Ren. There was also Spike Lee‘s BlacKKKlansman, The Report and his recent film Marriage Story earned him Oscar nominations. He does have an handful of films still to finish with Ridley Scott‘s The Last Duel recently restarted production delayed due to Covid-19. He is also set to star in Scott’s Gucciย  next to Lady Gaga.

We may love Raimi’s early work such as The Evil Dead films, Spider-Man films, his producing side of things a little more mixed bag. We are curious to see how he approaches the Doctor Strange sequel which is set for release in 2022.
