A Lot Has Happened In David O.Russell’s Amsterdam Trailer
A lot has happened in the world since we last saw a David O.Russell film. Guess what the same could be said literally about his return to the big screen with Amsterdam. 20th Century Studios have released the first UK Trailer, as trio of friends caught up in a murder.
It’s 7 years since O.Russell‘s last had a film on the big screen with 2015 Joy. With this film heading to cinemas in November, are we looking at potential Oscar contender? With Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington with a host of many other, it could be.
It’s the 1930’s, USA. Described as a film mixing up fact and fiction. Three friends (Bale, Robbie and Washington), a doctor, nurse and attorney. They all meet in Belgium, their friendship is strong and they witness a murder. Burt (Bale) is accused of murder and help of his friends try and clear his name.

Murder is not a light-hearted affair, this actually looks that. This certainly looks a solid, even fun noir the director will be hoping the past controversary is a thing of the past. The odds are good for a positive return and a film with DoP Emmanuel Lubezki. Film fans will be intrigued to see this new film.
A fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction for a timely, cinematic experience, 20th Century Studios’ and New Regency’s original crime epic about three close friends who find themselves at the centre of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history.
The rest of the cast includes Rami Malek, Zoe Saldaña, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, and Taylor Swift.
Amsterdam will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas 4th November.
