Let’s Do The Monster Mash, Watch The Epic Crazy Pacific Rim UK Trailer!
Today The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey will open in UK& Ireland it could have been completely different ย for Guillermo del Toroย which would have meant Pacific Rim wouldn’t ย be here, but it looks like fate has done it’s job as we have epic UK trailer for Pacific Rim.
It might be a little premature to say what things may have been like if Del Toro did direct The Hobbit, when or if this beast of a film would have seen light of day? When you’ve been working on it for 5 years you know this one was coming and thankfully next summer it will be coming! Pacific Rimย tells the story of earth comes under attack from giant monsters called Kaiju who rise from the sea. To combat the attacks the humans create giant robots named Jaegers but as thhings start to look gloomy Earth’s fate lies in the hands ofย former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi).
If you love Godzilla films and even anime’s like Evegellion, Pacific Rim will be right up your street. This film isn’t swimming in originality however that is not a negative as this looks destructive fun and tha’ts fun with a capital F. As for the actual CGI it looks fine but also looks like work in progress too, we don’t get an exact look at the monsters that look like they’ve came straight out off a Lovecraft book. This trailer is still a tease as we don’t know much about the creatures, like where they come from, why do they come from the seas, why do they attack, are they intelligent ? It seems they have been causing havoc for 12 years is there a controlling force behind them? We love creature features, but Emmerich failed with Godzilla and with Robots with Tranformers, so what can Del Toro do to rise above those films?
Been a fantastic few days for trailers with Man Of Steel, Lone Ranger and even Star Trek Into Darkness (full trailer coming Monday) setting up Summer’s anticipation. Star Trek maybe bringing the intelligence, Pacific Rim will bring some ridiculous fun to the schedule!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanityโs resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes โ a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) โ who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankindโs last hope against the mounting apocalypse.
