As the movie world goes crazy with Super Bowl TV Spots Sony’s Screen Gems have changed the release dates of 5 of their movies.

The Room Mate starring Cam Gigandet and Leighton Meester has been changed from September 17th release to February 4th 2011 which means it’ll be up against Nicholas Cage’s Drive 3-D , Gnomeo and Juliet and Jennifer Anniston& Adam Sadler’s Pretend Wife. Idris Elba’s heist movie Takers has also moved date again this time to August 20th from a May release going against Piranha 3D and Ice-Cube’s Lottery Ticket.

Underworld 4has also had its release date moved fromJanuary 2011 to a whopping 8 months to September 23rd release which will probably up the rumourmongers that Kate Beckinsdale will return to dawn the leathergear again as Selene. Easy A staring Emma Stone and Stanley Tucci will be getting a September 17th release date and will be up against Flipped, Nicke Nolte’s Warrior.

The final Screen Gems movie is Paul Bettnay Priest the Korean comic book about a vigalante priest who hunts down vampires is following the sci-fi/fantasy comicbook trend and getting the 3-D treatment. So instead of the late summer release it will now be January 14th, 2011 and will be up against Cabin In The Woods, Little Fockers and Tron:Legacy.

Universal Pictures have annouced Repo Men starring Jude Law will be getting a earlier release date of March 19th from April 2nd meaning Season of the witch, The bounty hunter, diary of a wimpy kid and the runaways will be its rivals.

Keep in mind these are the American dates not British or Irish release dates and these could actually be alot later, for example last year there was a 6 month release date difference from Pixar’s UP  with early summer for USA and its was late october in UK. It’s hard enough trying to get release dates for movies been released in the next few weeks rather than months and the film industry is very unpredictable so dont be shocked of they and others movies have there dates changed again
