Nine days time 21 Jump Street will arrive in UK & Irish cinemas and late last night Sony Pictures released a new extended 5 minute red band trailer for our viewing pleasure. At first I was probably not as keen to see this but the buzz behind the film has been fantastic and early reviews are reveal we have a genuinely funny film on our hands, this Friday you will be able to read Dexter’s review. I know some people are saying this is nothing like the Johnny Depp Television series but then again what is the same as it used to be these days? You can say the brand of humour has grown with the audience who watched it in their teens and the footage we see in this trailer (which plays more like a montage) maybe familiar, what it does do is show off more of the plot as well as humour we can expect to see.
21 Jump Street stars Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Dave Franco,Ellie Kemper, Brie Larsen, and Rob Riggle and will be coming to a cinema near you in UK&Ireland March 16th, 2011.
In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street , Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Joining the police force and the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover in a local high school. As they trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives to investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring. But they find that high school is nothing like they left it just a few years earlier and neither expects that they will have to confront the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again and all the issues they thought they had left behind.
