Chris Pratt knows a thing or two about fighting space aliens and dinosaurs. Later in the Summer he will be a time travelling soldier ready to join the fight save Earth from Alien invaders in The Tomorrow War.
We told you earlier this month the film is heading to Amazon Prime in July. Tomorrow the first trailer is set to arrive, today Amazon Studios tease us with a number of first look images.
The film marks the directorial live action feature for Chris McKay who directed The Lego Batman Movie. McKay also worked on The Lego Movie with with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film was originally meant to have been released by Paramount with December 2020 cinema release. However like many films over the past year found themselves with new homes and formats.
The Tomorrow War tells the story of soldiers who travel back in time to help create an army to fight against the alien invaders who want to destroy humanity. Check out the images below…
In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travellers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.
The film also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, and J.K. Simmons. The Tomorrow War will launch exclusively on Prime Video on 2nd July.
