In New Relic Trailer What’s Under The Bed?

IFC Films have released a second Trailer for highly anticipated indie horror Relic. Everything decays in Natalie Erika James film , but what’s under the bed mum?

Once again Sundance Film Festival looks likely to be the source for what’s hot in the horror genre. It Follows, Hereditary, Babadook, The VVitch are some of the best examples and now Relic looks to follow suit.

The film looks to tackle the dreadful neurological disease of Dementia. As someone from a family who had a love one suffer from this, you wouldn’t anyone ever suffer the same pain. They tackle it in a Haunted House setting

In this one,  we find three generations of women (Robyn Nevin, Emily Mortimer, Bella Heathcote). When the matriarch (Nevin) of the family goes missing her daughter and granddaughter (Mortimer, Heathcoate) attempt to find her. Only to find she returned, is something controlling her?

This chiller certainly has plenty of creepy atmosphere and looking at the festival reviews, equal measure of scares too.

When elderly mother Edna (Robyn Nevin) inexplicably vanishes, her daughter Kay (Emily Mortimer) and granddaughter Sam (Bella Heathcote) rush to their family’s decaying country home, finding clues of her increasing dementia scattered around the house in her absence. After Edna returns just as mysteriously as she disappeared, Kay’s concern that her mother seems unwilling or unable to say where she’s been clashes with Sam’s unabashed enthusiasm to have her grandma back. As Edna’s behavior turns increasingly volatile, both begin to sense that an insidious presence in the house might be taking control of her. With RELIC, first-time writer/director Natalie Erika James crafts an unforgettable new spin on the haunted-house movie.

The film also stars Chris Bunton, and Steve Rodgers.

There’s still no word on a UK distributor or release date for Relic. The film is still for limited U.S Cinema/VOD release from 10th July.
