The Superbowl Tv spots and Trailer keep coming thick and fast and Universal reveal the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom second Trailer. We return once again to the island where it all started in 1990’s and things have got no better since Jurassic World. That bad even the resident Dinosaurs are running. Even our resident Raptor expert Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) is in the mouth of the beast.
But can Owen, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) save the dinosaurs from an island that’s about to explode? Will Owen save Blue the raptor he raised from birth? Check out the trailer the trailer below which reveals new footage.
With the previous trailer and now the new second UK Trailer we can all agree this movie is a lot darker in tone. Will it be any better that is the question many are asking now. JA Bayona compared to Colin Trevorrow he knows and certainly appreciates that darkness. It’s all thanks to working in horror genre, hopefully, give this movie a few jump scares. This was something that was lacking from the last movie which was a mediocre hyperbole.
From the beginning of the trailer, we are teased by a new menace. A new dinosaur which seems to combine Indominus Rex and the velociraptor. Called the Indoraptor, it creeps into the bedroom of a young person like an unwelcomed guest from a horror movie. Is this the next generation of army weapons teased about in Jurassic World? Whatever they are it will give the new movie a different type of physical danger.
Whilst many fans of the original franchise were delighted to see the return of Dr.Ian Malcolm aka Jeff Goldblum back. This trailer doesn’t reveal anything more about him or how much of the movie he will be in. At the moment he may only be the moral compass and be in a court thousands of miles away.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has a lot going for it. It’s a vast improvement on the previous movie, but I’m still a little concerned this will deliver anything new. Darker tone but the same old same old.
