Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
I’m going come out with it, I’ve never been a fan of Jurassic Park, nor the 2015 movie. Before anyone screams blue murder, I’m not a complete hater, I do appreciate Stephen Spielberg‘s movie is a masterpiece.
For the new movie, this looks a big dumb summer blockbuster in a positive fun way. Jeff Goldblum‘s return brings a nice big slice of nostalgia back to the franchise. The trailer doesn’t tease if he will go back to the island, what see is him in a court scene delivering a very stark warning: “these creatures were here before us, and if we’re not careful, they’re gonna be here after us.”
The tone of the movie does look to be a lot darker than the previous movie. Bayona directed The Orphanage and with his roots in the horror genre, he knows how to deliver those fears. Don’t fret this franchise is not become horror movie just adopting a few scares.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be out in the UK & Ireland on 7th June 2018. The movie also stars BD Wong, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall.
