Apart from playing The Enterprise’s iconic ‘scottish’ engineer (an accent Pegg got from his Glaswegian wife) Simon Pegg has a lot at stake in the third instalment of the Star Trek rebooted franchise. He is also the film’s script writer (was also one time potential director too) and probably new director Justin Lin‘s guide into the new franchise which JJ Abrams re-established. In this new clip Scotty is searching for his crew mates (we assume from the hostile takeover of the Enterprise seen in the previous trailers) he meets an unknown alien woman called Jaylah (Sofia Boutella). It seems sh has also crashed but who is she? From her reaction she’s not a fan of Krall!
In Star Trek Beyond the Enterprise is in the middle of it’s 5 year mission to explore the galaxy and boldly go where no one has gone before. As the crew try to decide where next on that mission things suddenly go wrong when they confront new unknown baddie Krall (Idris Elba) who is against all that Federation Of Planets (aka Starfleet) stand for. The attack find s the crew scrambling to a nearby planet, scattered everywhere could mean the crew attempt to re-unite with each other to regain control of the Enterprise.
