Are you now or have you ever… Bryan Cranston swaps the meth for a typewriter as Blacklisted 1940’s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, watch official trailer. Autumn is on our doorstep the final big festivals like Toronto are knocking on our door and now the big players for possible awards glory come out to play

In Trumbo we follow the successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. Trumbo tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.

Whilst Ive never been a fan of Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston always delivers the goods in whatever task he confronts, looks like he’ll deliver a fun, animated performance. Like swapping the drugs for wit. Fantastic supporting cast which includes Helen Mirren, Elle Fanning, Alan Tudyk,Diane Lane, John Goodman, Stephen Root, Michael Stuhlbarg, Roger Bart, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Louis C.K. So will Cranston find himself ‘writing the script’ to Awards glory? When your based on the writer who wrote Roman Holiday and Brave One, anything can happen

Trumbo is set for a world premiere at Toronto Film Festival in September with U.S cinematic release been 6th November, as for us here in UK&Ireland it’s 22nd January 2016.
