No quarters or controllers required, just some Studio Ghibli awesomeness mixed up with old-school style and of course yours truly combining his love for old school gaming with anime (I am 40!).We know how good these guys are from their takes on the likes of Fast&Furious, The Walking Dead even Frozen have all found themselves gloriously pixelated into old school nostalgia.

8 Bit a.k.a. the third generation of gaming started in 1983 with the Japanese release of the Nintendo Family Computer and Sega. Can you guess what games inspired our 8-bit version of Princess Mononoke?

All the journey our lead character Ashitaka seems to be recreated as he attempts to find his cure, on evidence this one looks like it would be perfect for side scrolling action game. Then again all of these pixel works of art deserve to become a game!
