It maybe a new year, the Covid Pandemic continues, with ourselves back in Lockdown. So how about a film in lockdown? How about a rom-com film that’s also a heist flick set during a pandemic? Step forward Doug Liman’s Locked Down and today Warner Bros release the UK Trailer!
It’s ironic Hollywood have started getting their hands on what has happened the past year, I wouldn’t expect any less, Hollywood is about taking those opportunities. But this is not like that certain recently released Michael Bay film, this is a film with a more interesting premise. From the mind of Steven Knight, will cinephiles be dig this quirky film?
Locked Down stars Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor as a couple on the verge of separation during a pandemic. Stuck at home together is starting to cause big problems, they come up with an unexpected challenge that might just bring them closer together…A heist stealing a very expensive diamond from a very well known store!

Just as they decide to separate, Linda (Anne Hathaway) and Paxton (Chiwetel Ejiofor) find life has other plans when they are stuck at home in a mandatory lockdown. Co-habitation is proving to be a challenge, but fuelled by poetry and copious amounts of wine, it will bring them closer together in the most surprising way.
The film also stars Ben Kingsley, Ben Stiller, Lucy Boynton, Mindy Kaling, Stephen Merchant, Dulé Hill, and Mark Gatiss.
Locked Down doesn’t have an UK cinema release date. With Lockdown currently in place there is no confirmed release date. In the U.S the film is being released on HBO Max and you can watch it from 14th January (subject to change).
