Watch UK Trailer For Classic Caper Sneakers

UK film magazine Film Stories has established themselves as a must read independent film magazine. Now they expanding into releasing films with the release of the classic crime caper Sneakers later this month.

Directed by Phil Alden Robinson (Field  Of Dreams) and stars Robert Redford. We follow a band of  security system experts who get blackmailed into stealing a black box for a government agency. Or where they government agents?

Working in conjunction with Plumeria Pictures, the films will be hand-picked by the Film Stories team, and as Simon Brew (editor of Film Stories magazine and host of the Film Stories podcast) argues: “It’s hard to think of a finer ensemble suspense caper from the 1990s. It’s just the kind of film that deserves to be seen again and again”.

Sneakers is one of those classic films that has been out of print on Blu-Ray for a very long time. So what perfect way not to miss out get this release which will come with an array of extras. Film Stories have created a brand new Trailer to promote the upcoming release…

Martin Bishop is the head of a group of experts who specialize in testing out security systems. When he is blackmailed by government agents into stealing a top secret black box, the team find themselves embroiled in a game of danger and intrigue. After they recover the box, they discover that it has the capability to decode all existing encryption systems around the world, and that the agents who hired them didn’t work for the government after all.

The film cast also includes Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, Mary McDonnell, River Phoenix, Sidney Poitier and David Strathairn.

Sneakers will be available on Blu-ray from 28th June.
