Considered the great concert film of all time and Jonathan Demme’s Stop Making Sense is coming back to cinemas next month. Before then A24 Films will premiere the film restored in 4K premiering at Toronto Film Festival, today we get a look at the film’s official Trailer.

It’s nearly time to celebrate 40 year anniversary of this film hence the re-release, plus it IS a great film! Even better it’s coming to IMAX! Whilst this wasn’t released until 1984, the concert took place in December 1983 at Hollywood’s Pantages Theatre.

Stop Making Sense gave us some of Talking Heads best songs…Burning Down the House, Life During Wartime, Take Me to the River, Psycho Killer and Once in a Lifetime.

Sadly the band have had no reunions, a chance to see them in their glory and in 4K!

The greatest concert film of all time, Stop Making Sense brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) captures the band at their exhilarating best, in this new and complete restoration for the film’s 40th anniversary.

Stop Making Sense 4K will exclusively be in IMAX on 22nd September across the world and in UK, Canadian and American cinemas on 29th September.
