Good Night Oppy out November on Prime Video

Rover loves to go walkies, but this is no dog. This Oppy the Mars rover in delightful Good Night Oppy and Amazon have just released the official Trailer.

This is no Johnnie Five, but two rovers sent to the planet of Mars. What was meant to be only 90 day mission ends up lasting 15 years!

This documentary is directed by Ryan White. Produced by Jessica Hargrave, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Brandon Carroll, and Matthew Goldberg under the Amblin Entertainment banner.

Whilst the basic premise may not look much, the film follows the bond the rovers had with their creators. You’ll see that bond forge from the offices millions of miles away. Next to the emotional bond, the film will dive into the technological elements. We mustn’t forget the reason why Oppy is on Mars for, to explore the planet and it’s unknown terrain.

Good Night Oppy tells the inspirational true story of Opportunity, a rover that was sent to Mars for a 90-day mission but ended up surviving for 15 years. The film follows Opportunityโ€™s groundbreaking journey on Mars and the remarkable bond forged between a robot and her humans millions of miles away.

Angela Bassett narrates the film.

Good Night Oppy will play in select UK and Irish cinemas from 4th November. Then launching on Prime Video from 25th November.
