Last Night the heart of London boldly went where no one has gone before as Star Trek Beyond made it’s UK Premiere in central London.Warp speed! In Star Trek Beyond the Enterprise is in the middle of it’s 5 year mission to explore the galaxy and boldly go where no one has gone before. As the crew try to decide where next on that mission things suddenly go wrong  when they confront new unknown baddie Krall (Idris Elba) who is against all that Federation Of Planets (aka Starfleet) stand for. The attack find s the crew scrambling to a nearby planet, scattered everywhere could mean the crew attempt to re-unite with each other to regain control of the Enterprise.
In extra bonuses we have to two action  packed clips from the film. First up ‘Big Attack‘ which shows Captain Kirk quickly learning The Enterprises latest mission is not a ‘rescue mission’. Krall (Elba) reminds Kirk ‘This Is Where The Frontier pushes back’. In the second clip ‘Fly‘, it looks like the Enterprise is in another tight situation and Kirk asks Sulu “can you fly this?” Sulu truly obliges. Both clips do show alot of footage that has been seen before but as ever there’s enough snippets of new footage to make these short clips worthwhile.
Are we excited? Hell Yeah!!! Whilst we loved the previous 2 Star Trek rebooted films, we understood the franchise was in need of a little kick.Justin lin looks like he has pushed the franchise in a exciting new direction but still remembering their roots. It’s an important year for the franchise when they celebrate 50 years and hopefully more to come!
Star Trek Beyond is released in UK&Ireland from 22 July.
