Over the years we’ve watched countless films tackle marriage especially the break-up of the family unit. In The Killing Of Two Lovers the dark side of failing marriage and been pushed to the limits in the name of your family.

Neon Pictures have released the First Trailer for the film that was considered one of the best at this years  Sundance Film Festival. Many critics were raving about this indie thriller praising it’s honesty and brutality of break ups.

The film stars Clayne Crawford (Lethal Weapon) who recently separated from his wife. The had children together and he hopelessly tries to keep family together during his breakup. His wife tries to block him and struggles with his wives new boyfriend.

It does look very impressive, nuanced , award winning? Some critics think it does.

The Killing of Two Lovers follows David, who desperately tries to keep his family of six together during a separation from his wife, Nikki. They both agree to see other people but David struggles to grapple with his wife’s new relationship. The Hollywood Reporter calls the film “a transfixing drama without a wasted word or a single inessential scene.”

The film also stars Chris Coy, Avery Pizzuto, Arri Graham, and Ezra Graham.

No word on if or when this one might get an UK and Irish release. In the USA The Killing Of Two Lovers will be  released 23rd February 2021.
