British marathon swimmer and world record holder Beth French sets out to swim across seven of the world’s most dangerous sea-channels โ€“ an extreme challenge called Oceans Seven โ€“ and do it in record time: within one year.

Driven by her desire to set an example for her autistic son and to overcome a life-long, debilitating illness, Beth travels to farflung corners of the world confronting jellyfish, sharks, wild weather, hypothermia and her own inner demons.

But, in an unpredictable and emotional climax, Bethโ€™s yearning to conquer the open sea comes into heart-rending conflict with a motherโ€™s dreams for her son.

During its 10-month long UK theatrical release in 2019, Against the Tides played at 60+ cinemas across the UK, with many soldout screenings in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. The film received some great feedback from critics and audiences alike.

Against The Tide will released on digital in the UK and Ireland from 1st March 2021.
